Energy efficiency and sustainable motor solutions for air handling
To improve our living conditions, we have engineered solutions to control the temperature, humidity, and fresh air flow in buildings. Not surprisingly, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) consume on average about 50% of the energy used in buildings.1 At the same time, in large commercial buildings the equipment used to move people, like escalators and elevators, can account for 2-5% of the building’s energy use.
